The researchers at Cornell and Washington University found that “children are a lousy short-term financial investment.” “[F]orget kids if you’re seeking financial rather than emotional riches.” In all fairness, the article did conclude with the thoughts: “kids are cool” and “[t]here are more important things in life than merely financial success.” That’s something worth remembering.
