Winfrey, who sat pensively during most of the trial and occasionally scribbled notes, said fellow jurors will join her on her show next week to discuss their experience. She also plans to invite members of the victim’s and defendant’s families.
“This was a world I’ve read about and certainly am aware of, but this was a reality check,” Winfrey said. She said she was moved by the testimony of the victim’s mother.
