To help students recognize that romantic notions aren’t always grounded in reality, classes about relationships, marriage and divorce are being offered on several university campuses, including the University of Minnesota, Pepperdine and Northwestern.
On the first day of Marriage 101 at Seattle Pacific University, for example, Les Parrott’s students plan a mock wedding ceremony in 20 minutes. The message: Most of you will prepare more for the wedding than you will for your marriage.
