Written on May 28, 2004 by David C. Sarnacki
The FTC’s General Counsel issued a May 7, 2004 letter concerning the financial privacy notice required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. William E. Kovacic represented that absent any reversal of the district court’s April 30, 2004 order in ABA v. FTC and New York State BAr Association v. FTC, the FTC will not bring any enforcement actions or conduct any investigations against practicing lawyers.
